Behind The Scenes, Is Where Everything Gets Done.

People rarely understand the things they look into, it’s built in to the very fabric of today’s society. Behind The Scenes, is where everything gets done.- Stephen C. Sanders takes an introspective look at what is “really happening in the world” on any given topic that may come during the writing of this essay.   A perfect example is this particular website. There is a story behind the name, yet I have already written most of that. Yet who I am, and why am I able to write on philosophy, well here is a story in about three paragraphs. Ever since I have been about sixteen years old I have had a very deep interest in such topics as the creation of the universe, the eternal nature of the soul, and some amazing thing that I could add to such an exulted list. Now for many countless multitudes, the entire concept of G-d, and all sorts of associated details, gets delegated to something called religion. Now something called philosophy does not necessarily repeat, dispute, or argue   with any of the established scriptural authorities. Finally the entire body of knowledge which is referred to as science, even further divorces itself from

Hoshana Rabbah- Were all in this together!

Arovos, represents the Jew who neither good deeds nor keeps religious rituals.

Stephen C. Sanders-”Were All In This Together” orig 647 words at 7:02pm now 1,182 Words 8:27pm-EST- revision- Hoshanah Rabbah 2011 has begun! Aharon Moshe Sanders, October 18, 2011 (with video explanation courtesy of becomingjewish.org) I have been doing quite a bit of restyling lately. The restyling of my websites I suppose is obvious to anyone who has been visiting them. Additionally while parnasa (the income that we all somehow need to obtain, to pay for the essentials in life) has not been the cornerstone of my existence over the last four to five years, I could honestly state that it has been become an major focus at least since November of last year. That being the case the article I am writing “live” at the present moment takes on even a greater significance. Self-actualization is one of those ongoing pieces of work which people are naturally driven to. So the fact that I have identified a major life re-focus over the last year, it should be no surprise to me, that this article did not actually develop into an assessment of what I have hoped to accomplish. The current holiday period which we are now in the midst in the original

Yom Kippur- Repairing our past, preparing for our future.

Many orthodox Jews in serious prayer & one man connecting via cell phone.

Yom Kippur, repairing our past and preparing for our future.- Aharon Moshe Sanders- AhMBDvd, October 5, 2011 There are plenty of Jewish websites out there, and while the current on you are on is not exclusively A Jewish Website, it certainly does have many references to Jewish topics. I have included the You Tube Video below, mainly to notice a trend and state a simple concern. True Torah knowledge and understanding often comes to the individual at great expense. Popular trends will definitely be taking hold of all people including the group I simply call orthodox. Having started off my whole plunge into orthodoxy in Passaic New Jersey, I am very familiar with the various subgroups within the orthodox world. The simple concern is this. Understanding trends is definitely an important thing for people who need to earn a living (as of course everyone must be able to pay the usual expenses associated with living). Being Jewish or being Torah observant in itself does not necessarily mean that one is going to be embraced, accepted and supported by the Klal (the group). However the concept of giving Tzedakah (charity) as is chesed (kindness) is definitely a cornerstone and an important

This Week’s Torah Portion-Ki Seitze.

September 8, 2011

Graphic Representation of the Ten Sefirot

One thing I learned fairly recently, is that the Torah Portion of the week starts to “exert it’s influence on us” after Tuesday. Therefore the Torah Portion of the week which has information specifically relevant to our lives for right now, is the portion which will be read, or publicly lained in Shul this coming Shabbos. The name of the Parsha is Ki Seitzei, and is the portion of our Holy Torah which will be lained (read publicly from a Torah Scroll requiring a minimum of ten Jewish men- a minion to be present) this Saturday, Shabbos in synagogues and shuls all over the world. The portion is in the 5th book of Moshe (our teacher) which is also called Devarim (or Deuteronomy) in the non-Jewish world. The portion starts at Deuteronomy chapter 21:10 and ends at Chapter 25:19. When I resume writing this piece I will be discussing Mitzvah (commandment) given to chase away the mother bird, before taking the egg. While I normally do try to avoid using non-Jewish sources, sometimes expediency requires otherwise, in this case, its merely the words translated into English that are needed. Deut 22:6-7 (Jewish) )6 “If, as you are walking along, you happen

The Calm Before The Storm

With this post I am finally taking this website into a new direction. Now that I have revealed a little bit about how I name this website, I thought a little more information about the writer, the dreamer, the poet who’s thoughts get written here. They say the darkest the hour, is always before the dawn. Its a saying who’s original author may have simply been pushed aside by pop culture. Certainly in my circles everyone associates that idea with the song by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.   Additionally there is no doubt that people’s minds over here on the east coast must certainly be on, the recent and upcoming events. What could i possibly be speaking of on this website of mine (one amongst perhaps a dozen or so) yet this is the one site where my where my strongest readership is in the New York City area. Statistics Summary for thewriterscafe.org Thewriterscafe.org has a three-month global Alexa traffic rank of 980,759. We estimate that 87% of its visitors are in the US, where it has attained a traffic rank of 124,284. Visitors to the site view an average of 11.0 unique pages per day. The site is relatively

A Story of A Name

The story behind the name, and the website, how it all began-By Stephen C. Sanders- August 16, 2011 3:25pm EST This web site has come a long way, only with a a very constant and varied level of effort over time.   Perhaps a brief digression regarding the initial thought behind this website might be in order. My previous web production was a very analytic yet deeply philosophical analysis regarding a play that I had seen produced in the Shakespeare in the Park series in Central Park, New York City. The play. The Seagull, was written by Anton Chekhov, and Natalie Portman, and Meryl Streep (amongst others) appeared in this production. I mentioned the play above in context to tell how the plan for this website “fell into place”. -S. Sanders-   If one were forced to either critique for better or worse my particular writing style, I believe it could summed up as, a series of digressions from digressions.

Learn Their Mistakes, Or Be Doomed To Repeat Them!

Gary Kasparov: Making Mistakes in Chess- Aharon Moshe Sanders, Making Mistakes in Life-AhMbDvd August 9, 6:17pm Gary Kasparov: Making Mistakes in Chess   A master chess player Gary Kasparov fully explains the value of mistakes in something as simple as “a game”. However a game, has so many valuable examples that can be applied to real life, that I felt it very fitting to have the man himself explain exactly what mistakes are all about, and how they contain essential elements to allowing experienced palyers to grow.   Today we live in a world where the greatest thinkers, politicians, leaders and experts in their fields are every bit as prone to make mistakes as ever/ The difference is the unfortunate tendency on either the part of the media or even on the individual level to simply ignore, deny, or create convoluted explanations justifying these errors. Far better is to assume as our chess master friend Gary Kasparov is telling us here, that mistakes will occur, and we need to go back and analyze what went went wrong, so as to to become stronger when faced with similar issues in the future.   Accepting the inevitability and responsibility for strategic errors in
