People rarely understand the things they look into, it’s built in to the very fabric of today’s society. Behind The Scenes, is where everything gets done.- Stephen C. Sanders takes an introspective look at what is “really happening in the world” on any given topic that may come during the writing of this essay.   A perfect example is this particular website. There is a story behind the name, yet I have already written most of that. Yet who I am, and why am I able to write on philosophy, well here is a story in about three paragraphs. Ever since I have been about sixteen years old I have had a very deep interest in such topics as the creation of the universe, the eternal nature of the soul, and some amazing thing that I could add to such an exulted list. Now for many countless multitudes, the entire concept of G-d, and all sorts of associated details, gets delegated to something called religion. Now something called philosophy does not necessarily repeat, dispute, or argue   with any of the established scriptural authorities. Finally the entire body of knowledge which is referred to as science, even further divorces itself from

The Goal; The Beginning-Ten Utterances.

Rabbi Yitzchak Luria (The Ari)-Author of The Ten Luminous Emanations) had great respect and honor for Rabbi Moshe Cordovero (Ramak)

The entire Universe the world and everything else that anyone in the past present and future was created, In the Beginning, by The Ten Utterances of G-d. If you don’t believe that this is possible then you might enjoy reading this piece mystically inspired piece. This being a classic type of article, that I simply love to write about or speak about and yes even think about, my regular readers will need to go and get a cup of tea, set their cell phone to vibrate and give yourself the 15-20 minutes or so, that will be needed to really get what this article is trying to explain.     First things first I do not at the moment posses an advanced degree in metaphysics, physical chemistry, or quantum mechanics. I do have a fairly solid understanding of the concept known as the Rad Shift, whereby objects which are moving away from one at great speeds display a sort of distortion of the light spectrum as their movement approaches speeds close to the speed of light. I do not really get how time moves backwards, yet I am continuously amazed at how maybe a month or so back we were

I’ll Be With You When The Stars Start Falling.

In The Pinwheel Galaxy A Once "Dead" Star Exploded.

Stephen C. Sanders, Wednesday September, 28, 2011, 3am. When the stars start falling- Erev Rosh HaShanah Certainly these are classic song lyrics. It had been quite some time since I have loosened up on my own self imposed restrictions for these websites that I produce. One might well imagine that it could be difficult to be gifted with a keen intellect that always attempts to put a rational explanation onto everything. Some things just never seem to work out perfectly. Now when you just happen to have been born with an intense interest in science, and even biology at a very young age, well then its certainly going to be a very rough ride to sit around and listen to all sorts of conjecture centered in dogmatic discussion. Now quite honestly the only way I could ever truly endure listening to such discussion was to simply turn off my brain for a little while. Now as dramatic as that may sound, in fact it is really not that difficult. The problem of course only ever comes up when you try to penetrate to the deepest meaning within a particular thing. So rather than starting with something really complex, lets just

This Week’s Torah Portion-Ki Seitze.

September 8, 2011

Graphic Representation of the Ten Sefirot

One thing I learned fairly recently, is that the Torah Portion of the week starts to “exert it’s influence on us” after Tuesday. Therefore the Torah Portion of the week which has information specifically relevant to our lives for right now, is the portion which will be read, or publicly lained in Shul this coming Shabbos. The name of the Parsha is Ki Seitzei, and is the portion of our Holy Torah which will be lained (read publicly from a Torah Scroll requiring a minimum of ten Jewish men- a minion to be present) this Saturday, Shabbos in synagogues and shuls all over the world. The portion is in the 5th book of Moshe (our teacher) which is also called Devarim (or Deuteronomy) in the non-Jewish world. The portion starts at Deuteronomy chapter 21:10 and ends at Chapter 25:19. When I resume writing this piece I will be discussing Mitzvah (commandment) given to chase away the mother bird, before taking the egg. While I normally do try to avoid using non-Jewish sources, sometimes expediency requires otherwise, in this case, its merely the words translated into English that are needed. Deut 22:6-7 (Jewish) )6 “If, as you are walking along, you happen

The Calm Before The Storm

With this post I am finally taking this website into a new direction. Now that I have revealed a little bit about how I name this website, I thought a little more information about the writer, the dreamer, the poet who’s thoughts get written here. They say the darkest the hour, is always before the dawn. Its a saying who’s original author may have simply been pushed aside by pop culture. Certainly in my circles everyone associates that idea with the song by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.   Additionally there is no doubt that people’s minds over here on the east coast must certainly be on, the recent and upcoming events. What could i possibly be speaking of on this website of mine (one amongst perhaps a dozen or so) yet this is the one site where my where my strongest readership is in the New York City area. Statistics Summary for thewriterscafe.org Thewriterscafe.org has a three-month global Alexa traffic rank of 980,759. We estimate that 87% of its visitors are in the US, where it has attained a traffic rank of 124,284. Visitors to the site view an average of 11.0 unique pages per day. The site is relatively

How Much Longer Must The Tail Wag the Dog?

How Much Longer Must The Tail Wag the Dog?

The contents of the Earth’s various layers are under pressure. Even a child knows when you take an object (say a soda can) which is under pressure and shake it up (like the offshore drilling process) and the open the can (collect the oil) the result is an explosion and a big mess... We are now seeing that not only is the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico impossible to clean up, it is also extremely difficult to stop! When will it stop? Revised By: Stephen C. (Aharon Moshe) Sanders May 12, 2010

We Are What We Write.

January 1, 2010

In the virtual world we may be consumers, producers, or both. I remember some lyrics from a Robin Trower song, that goes like this: “And that old stone keeps on rolling. Bringing me some new bad news. Takers get the honey. Givers sing, the blues” I could easily wax philosophical for the next 1000 or more words bringing in all kinds of song lyrics, but how would they help me prove any kind of point. At this point I would like to say that many of the people have a certain love for what falls into the category of “Pop Culture”. For better or worse, many of us out there both in the real and the virtual world have been hopelessly brain washed by pop culture. If you really get down to it pop culture in some circles could be thought of as an oxymoron. Typically things that are popular, have really very little to do with culture, from the point of view defining culture as: “A high degree of taste and refinement formed by aesthetic and intellectual training.” Definition#4-Answer.com These days I have been exposed to a rigorous kind of proving ground where any of even the beginning learners

First the Low Carb Craze and Now “The China Study”.

October 12, 2009
By

The follow is taken from a web site promoting the book called “The China Study”: Early in his career as a researcher with MIT and Virginia Tech, Dr. Campbell worked to promote better health by eating more meat, milk and eggs — “high-quality animal protein … It was an obvious sequel to my own life on the farm and I was happy to believe that the American diet was the best in the world.” He later was a researcher on a project in the Philippines working with malnourished children. The project became an investigation for Dr. Campbell, as to why so many Filipino children were being diagnosed with liver cancer, predominately an adult disease. The primary goal of the project was to ensure that the children were getting as much protein as possible. “In this project, however, I uncovered a dark secret. Children who ate the highest protein diets were the ones most likely to get liver cancer…” He began to review other reports from around the world that reflected the findings of his research in the Philippines. Although it was “heretical to say that protein wasn’t healthy,” he started an in-depth study into the role of nutrition, especially protein,
