People rarely understand the things they look into, it’s built in to the very fabric of today’s society. Behind The Scenes, is where everything gets done.- Stephen C. Sanders takes an introspective look at what is “really happening in the world” on any given topic that may come during the writing of this essay.   A perfect example is this particular website. There is a story behind the name, yet I have already written most of that. Yet who I am, and why am I able to write on philosophy, well here is a story in about three paragraphs. Ever since I have been about sixteen years old I have had a very deep interest in such topics as the creation of the universe, the eternal nature of the soul, and some amazing thing that I could add to such an exulted list. Now for many countless multitudes, the entire concept of G-d, and all sorts of associated details, gets delegated to something called religion. Now something called philosophy does not necessarily repeat, dispute, or argue   with any of the established scriptural authorities. Finally the entire body of knowledge which is referred to as science, even further divorces itself from

Anticipate The Future, Extrapolate From The Past.

"Find the Cost Of Freedom Buried in the Ground" First it was NYC, what happens once Iran has a nuclear weapon?

Anticipate The Future, Extrapolate From The Past- One could never really be a winner in the game of chess, simply by always having a brilliant defense.-  By Stephen C. Sanders-first edit 1225 words, 8pm, updated (2nd edit 10:30pm)     In my experience I have found that people form judgements easily utilizing only the sketchiest of details. My writing is one of the ways that I try to make sense of the world around me. Which gets me to my point, even faster than I thought I would. I was raised by someone who survived the Holocaust. My mom survived by “pretending” she was not Jewish as a child when between the ages of like 4-8 I am thinking. If someone were to ask me what is an very important principle to me I probably would say fairness. I look at most things in a very deep, philosophical and analytic way.  I truly hate injustice, which of course does not mean that I never did anything wrong. What really gets is me  is when people walk around thinking they are perfect where as they really do have many flaws and have hurt quite a few people either intentionally or accidentally. The term

Opportunity Of A Lifetime

Surroundings make a difference. As I write this I am not at the usual Starbuck’s location. I ran into someone who once again has seriously been offering me the opportunity to sell for him on commission only, of course.   I realize that people have this stereo-type image of who a salesman is, from what he looks like to how he dresses, and the speed at which he talks. I realize there are sort of images that people have, and fully detailed images about what succes really looks likes, so here it is folks, this is the absolute best that I can do. My screen went blank about three times in a row. Despite what all the well meaning folks at Apple have told me, I am pretty concerned about his computer crashing with all its info and files. Also, people in general do not typically share even a small part of my dream, so therefore I use images, when words fail, and quote authors, or movies, when images fail, and when all else fails, I do what anyone else would eventually do.             I have talked to dozens of people, I have shared enough

My Black Friday.

NYC WTC Area Through A Bus Shelter

On writing; to become an author, one needs to actually develop the voice which already resides inside, yet needs to have some sort of external shell, coating  or covering, removed in order to become who or what you already are. We Are What We Are About To Become. Stephen C. Sanders- Black Friday November 25, 2011 8:38am 881 words.     While the rest of the world is obsessed on getting some “great deals on all kinds of merchandise, I am really overly concerned with all my virtual property.-Stephen C. Sanders, My Black Friday.   First I need to apologize to my regular readers. This website is still my “oldest modern website”, and I suppose will always occupy a special place, at least on the internet. I was about to say this website will always occupy a special place in my heart however that phrase sounded to common and far to sentimental. Now why do I say that, I don’t really know, maybe it has something to do with black friday. I sometimes find it hard to be sentimental about something, that at least on some level represents this huge effort, to keep things moving in the proper direction. Let me

Genesis Is Not a Description of The First World that Hashem Created, Rather it is an Explanation Relevant to “Our” World.-Stephen C. Sanders- AhMbDvd 10/25/11 6:50pm 866 words Draft 1: (This is about half-complete) Generally written information on the Parsha of the week is written in advance of the shabbos where it is lained (publicly read in shul). One might wonder what happens to all of the information about certain parshas, lets say Parshas Bereishis (Genesis), for example, a parsha that sort of just gets swept up with all festivities that started back in Rosh Hashanah    (September 28, 2011) the joyous and festive holiday marking the new, the day memorializing when Man was 1st created,  and then moved towards that serious and somber and most holy of day for the Jewish people (always ten days after Rosh Hashanah) Yom Kippur. <p> Then the amazing and extended holiday of Sukkot where we leave the conforts of ow home to truly take part in the world that Hashem has prepared for us, eating, sleeping in a sukkot, and waving the lulav and esrog, with high hopes for a greater and better life and

The Goal; The Beginning-Ten Utterances.

Rabbi Yitzchak Luria (The Ari)-Author of The Ten Luminous Emanations) had great respect and honor for Rabbi Moshe Cordovero (Ramak)

The entire Universe the world and everything else that anyone in the past present and future was created, In the Beginning, by The Ten Utterances of G-d. If you don’t believe that this is possible then you might enjoy reading this piece mystically inspired piece. This being a classic type of article, that I simply love to write about or speak about and yes even think about, my regular readers will need to go and get a cup of tea, set their cell phone to vibrate and give yourself the 15-20 minutes or so, that will be needed to really get what this article is trying to explain.     First things first I do not at the moment posses an advanced degree in metaphysics, physical chemistry, or quantum mechanics. I do have a fairly solid understanding of the concept known as the Rad Shift, whereby objects which are moving away from one at great speeds display a sort of distortion of the light spectrum as their movement approaches speeds close to the speed of light. I do not really get how time moves backwards, yet I am continuously amazed at how maybe a month or so back we were

Don’t Push The River That Flows-Fritz S. Perls

Shanah Tovah, Stephen C. Sanders, Wednesday September 28, 2011 5;25pm. The problem with this time of the year is that I always want to see of feel a tangible change. While this website has certainly undergone many positive changes, its hard for me to report on what has changed within me. However just now as I finally realized that all kind of things happened, sometimes going my way, and sometimes not, I have still been steady at the helm bracing myself for the challenges ahead. Yes its a new year, yet I realized how backwards I have sometimes thought of these things. This year my heart simply was not into all the preparations, the new year is just sort of rolling in. I have actually accomplished quite a lot, particularly in having had my various web sites climb up the Alexa ladder, where they can now reasonably compete with other similar niche specific websites. The holidays we are entering into are supposed to be a time for reflection, and sure its normal to experience a feeling of regret for things we may not have accomplished in our own timeline. However we never truly clearly see what G-d has in mind

This Week’s Torah Portion-Ki Seitze.

September 8, 2011

Graphic Representation of the Ten Sefirot

One thing I learned fairly recently, is that the Torah Portion of the week starts to “exert it’s influence on us” after Tuesday. Therefore the Torah Portion of the week which has information specifically relevant to our lives for right now, is the portion which will be read, or publicly lained in Shul this coming Shabbos. The name of the Parsha is Ki Seitzei, and is the portion of our Holy Torah which will be lained (read publicly from a Torah Scroll requiring a minimum of ten Jewish men- a minion to be present) this Saturday, Shabbos in synagogues and shuls all over the world. The portion is in the 5th book of Moshe (our teacher) which is also called Devarim (or Deuteronomy) in the non-Jewish world. The portion starts at Deuteronomy chapter 21:10 and ends at Chapter 25:19. When I resume writing this piece I will be discussing Mitzvah (commandment) given to chase away the mother bird, before taking the egg. While I normally do try to avoid using non-Jewish sources, sometimes expediency requires otherwise, in this case, its merely the words translated into English that are needed. Deut 22:6-7 (Jewish) )6 “If, as you are walking along, you happen

The Calm Before The Storm

The Calm Before The Storm

With this post I am finally taking this website into a new direction. Now that I have revealed a little bit about how I name this website, I thought a little more information about the writer, the dreamer, the poet who’s thoughts get written here. They say the darkest the hour, is always before the dawn. Its a saying who’s original author may have simply been pushed aside by pop culture. Certainly in my circles everyone associates that idea with the song by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.   Additionally there is no doubt that people’s minds over here on the east coast must certainly be on, the recent and upcoming events. What could i possibly be speaking of on this website of mine (one amongst perhaps a dozen or so) yet this is the one site where my where my strongest readership is in the New York City area. Statistics Summary for thewriterscafe.org Thewriterscafe.org has a three-month global Alexa traffic rank of 980,759. We estimate that 87% of its visitors are in the US, where it has attained a traffic rank of 124,284. Visitors to the site view an average of 11.0 unique pages per day. The site is relatively
